FC RUDAR 1945 RADLJEVO

Club history

FC Rudar was founded in 1945. August 6 was chosen as the club’s day, which was also the day of the miners.

There was a coal mine in Radljevo back in 1938, owned by Pera Putnik. After the war, the same mine was nationalized. The club was founded by the then workers of the mine, whose leaders were Franjo Medvešćak and a certain Andrić with the nickname Commissar.

In 1948, the club was taken over by Miodrag Ilić from Radljevo. The first post-war players of FC Rudar were Gavrić Jovo, Medvešćak Franjo, Nedeljković Sasa and others. From that period, a friendly match was recorded in 1952 in Radljevo, which was played between FK Rudar and FK Milicionar from Belgrade, and which the home team won 6: 1.

In the 1973/74 competition season. In the regional league Valjevo, the team of Rudar won the 1st place and entered the higher rank of the Podrinje-Kolubara region, which at that time was in the rank of the current Serbian league. In that league, the FC Rudar team played from 1974 to 1976 as the only village club that competed with clubs such as Drina from Ljubovija, Jedinstvo from Mali Zvornik, Osecina, Antimon from Zajača, Radnički from Šabac and others. After the relegation, the club successfully played MOFL Valjevo, MOFL Sabac, District League Valjevo. After being relegated from the district league Valjevo, the club competed in the municipal league Ub.

Season 2012/13. FC Rudar was the champion of the II municipal league Ub and as such, due to the reorganization, it was ranked higher. From 2013 until today, he has been a participant in the inter-municipal district football league Valjevo Group East.

In the 80’s, on August 5 and 6, in this part of Tamnava, on the occasion of the club day celebration, the most beautiful football was played with the strongest teams from the area at that time. The following teams participated in our tournament of celebrities: Jedinstvo Ub, Buducnost Valjevo, Radnicki Obrenovac, Trudbenik Belgrade, Belgrade from Karaburma (popular Red Devils), Elind Valjevo, Zadrugar Lajkovac, CSK Cortanovci, Radnicki Rudovci, TEK Veliki Crljeni.
